Method for Determining 6 Psychotropic Drugs in Bovine Blood Using Anyeep TQ9100

This study utilized the Anyeep TQ9100 ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry system from Anyeep to develop a method for simultaneously detecting 6 psychoactive drugs in bovine blood. The method demonstrated excellent linearity, with detection limits and quantification limits meeting relevant regulatory standards. Using this method and equipment enables reliable detection and quantification of psychoactive drugs.

Psychotropic drugs, including sedatives/hypnotics, antipsychotics, and central nervous system stimulants, pose health risks to humans through food chain contamination caused by their illegal use or addition in livestock farming and environmental residues. Accurate detection of these drugs is therefore critical. Among various sample types, bovine blood serves as a core matrix for monitoring psychotropic veterinary drug residues in beef cattle production, assessing exposure risks, and ensuring the safety of animal-derived foods.

Compared to urine and hair matrices, bovine blood features a complex composition with high protein content and low residues of psychotropic drugs, imposing stricter demands on the sensitivity, specificity, and sample preparation techniques of detection methods. Currently, detection of psychotropic drugs in bovine blood can be conducted in accordance with livestock and poultry veterinary drug residue regulations and GB/T national standards, while also referencing ISO 15189 and CLSI mass spectrometry standards. Precision qualitative and quantitative analysis is achieved using core technologies such as liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Implementing this testing approach plays a critical role in standardizing veterinary drug use in livestock farming, mitigating food safety risks, and safeguarding public health. This method is based on "Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Announcement No. 197-10-2019" and employsInQuantify by standard.
